ABOUT US

We serve in multiple capacities both within and without our local community.
Whether it be Pulpit Supply, Evangelistic or other Special Services, Worship
Music, Spiritual Gifts Training, we make ourselves available. It is the call of
service that we have responded to.

Our heart is for individuals and small church settings that are most often
overlooked by many of the the modern traveling teachers, prophets and
evangelists.
We charge nothing and come with no expectations other than seeing people
become encouraged, activated equipped to begin to minister outside the four
walls of the traditional church...this is where the majority of lost and dying souls
are.

It is our conviction that genuine, lasting spiritual revival comes one person at a
time through a remnant of God's people who have not been carried away by all
that glitters.
Christ found His greatest joy in serving the one, the Apostle Paul's example
included working to support the ministry He was called to. These are the
examples that form our ministry philosophy.

We simply seek to be a resource for existing ministries and for the one who
hears a call from the Lord to serve and desires to be connected with a safe
ministerial covering.
As briefly stated on the Home page, we are an equipping, encouraging and
covering ministry. Here are more detailed descriptions of these three areas of
ministry...

EQUIPPING...
We recognize that it is from God, and from Him only, that the gifts and calling
are deposited within people. We also recognize that God often chooses to use
others to help a person become activated in those gifts and the calling to serve.
(Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets, Teachers and Apostles from our view, do not
need an official title to be considered such...only the demonstrated fruits to
support the fact that God has indeed called and equipped them in such ways.)
Our work in this area is simply to help individuals develop in to all that God has
called them to be in Christ Jesus. To this end, we will provide Ministerial
Covering, Counsel, Intercessory Prayer Support and any Resources that we
have to assist in furthering a ministry.

ENCOURAGING...
Our approach here is to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those
who weep...but not for the sake of patting each other on the back or for
mourning our way into oblivion...the idea, from our understanding of the word
of God, is to be a functional body of believers who stand with each other at all
times and help to keep each other balanced in Christ Jesus.

There is an overwhelming number of people who sit relatively dormant in the
Army of God. They long to be used by God but never seem to be recognized or
get that initial launching into their God given gifts and calling.
We have been moved in a significant way to encourage and assist this type of
person step in to that calling and operate in their gift areas.

MINISTERIAL...
There are an abundance of online ordination services who will ordain
individuals for a fee of some sort and a few who do not even embrace the Bible
as the inspired word of God...
We are not one of these ordaining web sites.
As mentioned in the EQUIPPING description, we can and do provide
ministerial covering for individuals however, we are not willing to provide
ordination without transparent relationship.
We are a declared “Free Church” which means that we do not seek nor do we
need the governments permission to establish a church.
There is no non-profit status or 501 3 c documentation registered with the
federal government. Instead, we choose to rely upon the provisions of the
Founding Fathers of this country who constructed a Constitution which
included the following 1st Amendment...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the
press; or the right of people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government
for a redress of grievances.

It is from this right of freedom from Government interventions or permissions
that we established House of Prayer Ministries Free Church of Sullivan County
PA.

We believe in rendering unto Caesar, that which is Caesar’s and in honoring
the laws of our country, so long as they do not run contrary to the Inspired
Word of God...it is at this juncture, that we would part ways.

Having stated these things, it should be clear that this ministry is a
non-traditional outreach, seeking to serve others who hear a call to come out
from among the world.

We stand ready to be a blessing to our nation as we are able and more
importantly, to be a blessing to the body of Christ as we are equipped by
God...we encourage you to connect with us if this ministry resonates with your
gifts and calling in Christ Jesus or if you need help in recognizing your gifts and
calling in Him.

We would be honored to assist you on establishing and functioning within in the
ministry you are called to serve others with.
